Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information ToolNest (part of Vintayz, at vintayz.com) collects, why, and what rights you have. It is written to meet UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), US privacy laws including California's, and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.
In short: you don't need an account to use ToolNest. The numbers you type into our calculators, the details you type into our resume makers, and the files you open in our PDF tools never leave your device. We don't set cookies, we don't sell your personal information, and we only see your email address if you choose to email us.
1. Who we are
ToolNest is part of Vintayz (vintayz.com). Vintayz is run by [Your full name], an individual based in India ("we", "us"). We are responsible for (the "controller" of) personal information collected through this website.

We don't ask for, and don't want, sensitive information such as health details or government ID numbers. We don't make automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
ToolNest does not currently set any cookies or store any information on your device, and our analytics tool is cookie-free. So we don't need to ask for cookie consent at the moment.
If this changes, for example if we start showing adverts, we will update this policy first. Where the law requires it, including for visitors in the UK, we will ask for your consent before any non-essential cookies are set.
4. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. We only share it with:
- Service providers who help us run the website, only for that purpose: Cloudflare, Inc. (hosting, security and analytics) and our email provider.
- Authorities, if the law requires us to, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.
5. Advertising and affiliate links
We don't currently show adverts. If we start, we will update this policy before the adverts appear.
Some pages may include clearly labelled affiliate links. If you click one, the other website may learn that you came from ToolNest, and its own privacy policy then applies.
6. International transfers
We are based in India, and our service providers may process information in other countries, including the United States. If your personal information is sent out of the UK, we make sure it is protected as UK law requires. For example, we use providers that rely on approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK–US "data bridge".
7. Keeping information secure
The website is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections. Because calculator inputs and PDF files are handled on your device and never sent to us, there is no copy of them on our side that could be lost or stolen. We keep the personal information we hold to a minimum and limit access to it.
8. Your rights if you are in the UK
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information;
- ask us to restrict how we use your information;
- object to how we use your information, where we rely on legitimate interests;
- ask for your information in a portable format; and
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
We'll respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to sort out your concern first, so please contact us before going to the ICO.
9. Your rights if you are in the United States
Depending on the state you live in, for example California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas or Oregon, you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we collect, and get a copy of it;
- have your personal information corrected or deleted; and
- opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and of targeted advertising.
We don't sell or share personal information and we don't use it for targeted advertising, so there is currently nothing to opt out of. We will not treat you differently for using your privacy rights. We'll respond within 45 days and may need to check your identity first.
California privacy notice
- Categories of information: identifiers (such as IP address and, if you email us, your email address) and internet activity on this website, as described in section 2.
- Third parties: only the service providers listed in section 4.
- Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control: we don't track you over time or across other websites, and we don't allow other companies to collect personal information about your online activities over time and across websites through ToolNest. So our website works the same way whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.
- Reviewing or changing your information: email us at the address above.
- "Shine the Light": we don't share personal information with anyone for their own direct marketing.
10. Your rights under Indian law
Because we are based in India, we also follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 where it applies. You can ask to see, correct or erase your personal information, or make a complaint, by emailing our grievance contact at hello@toolnest.com.
11. Children
ToolNest is designed for adults who work for themselves. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when our practices change, for example before we introduce advertising. The "Last updated" date below will change, and if the change is significant we'll show a notice on the website.
